The Participation Hub is part of the eParT research initiative – Making e-Participation Work for Transformations – at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. The project examines how digital participation can be designed to facilitate a better understanding of and collaborative negotiation regarding societal transformations.

Transformation is complex—and complex topics require more than just long texts.
That’s why the Participation Hub is experimenting with multimodal forms of science communication: visual stories, audio formats, narrative insights into research, and interactive maps and geodata. Why not give it a try in our custom-built 3D model of the university campus!
Society is changing…
… through climate policy, the energy transition, or digitalization. Yet transformation is rarely a straightforward process. When scientific findings intersect with political decision-making and impact everyday life, debates, uncertainties, and new questions arise. The Participation Hub is a space where these questions can be brought to light.
Here, we bring together knowledge about digital participation, share stories from research and practice, and create spaces where different perspectives come together. Science isn’t just explained here—it’s explored together.
